Active Communities Network

In 2006, several small groups and project workers came together with a clear purpose: to tackle the inequality that blights marginalised communities. From those beginnings grew Active Communities Network.

Our Vision

We are a youth and community development organisation with a simple but powerful vision: to tackle inequality, inspire change and create opportunities. What makes us different is how we bring our vision to life – the ACN Way.
ACN Manchester has a strong presence within the city and wider area’s most social economically disadvantaged communities.
Since 2017, Active Communities Network (ACN) Manchester has sought to develop a strong presence within the city and wider area’s most socio-economically disadvantaged communities.
We have consolidated much of our work within key areas of north and east Manchester and have focused on building programmes for youth and community development and promoting citizenship as part of a wider education and training programme.
