Pitch 2 Progress CIC

Pitch 2 Progress is a civil society organisation created to unite young people through their love of sport. In a world where division threatens to destroy communities across our nation, we’re proud of the fact that those who attend our sessions come from a range of backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities.

Using recreational sports and activities as our entry point, we build relationships with young people understand their needs and challenges and try to provide bespoke support for each individual young person. We also provide workshops and mentoring on crucial topics aimed at supporting their growth and progression.

Our Project

Our project aims to promote healthy choices, life skills development, and positive activities among young people. Through this project, we aim to contribute to the outcomes of helping young people understand the importance of making healthy choices, developing life skills, and spending more time doing positive activities.

The project will allow is to put on several NFL Flag sessions per week that will provide a welcoming and open environment for young people to participate in American Football. By attending these sessions, young people will have the opportunity to engage in physical activity, which can have positive impacts on their physical and mental health. Additionally, the project will help young people build a wider and more diverse network of friends and peers, which can help increase their sense of social belonging.

Through the project, we will also work to develop life skills such as decision making, consequential thinking, and problem solving. These skills will be integrated into the NFL Flag sessions and will be focused on promoting healthy choices and reducing risky behaviour. By helping young people develop these skills, we aim to empower them to make informed decisions and better manage the challenges they may face in their daily lives.

Pitch 2 Progress takes an innovative approach to engaging young people, both on and off the pitch.
